I see the hoops my wife (a 4th grade math & science teacher) has to jump through to give a kid a zero - typically, they have to fail to turn an assignment in not once, not twice, not even three times! After their third failure to turn it in, they get to stay in at recess, or come to Saturday school to finish it.
It's disgusting to me. :evil:
But then again, I'm a Neanderthal - I still believe that the occasional swat with a belt or a paddle can work wonders. Too bad that's "child abuse" these days. :roll:
