Goodwin says NC slower than 99 Sport

Brian Goodwin posted an NC track review HERE. I think the guys driving NBs in stock class will be happy to hear "slower than my 99 sport was when stock" and "I fear stock class autocrossers will have a real challenge given the softness of the springs".

The general concensus seems the NC is looking toward the wine&cheese crowd vs. the performance crowd. It's really a shame if that's how it ends up.

Figure Brian may be on to something about why Mazda went with a softer setup.

Yep... uglier, heavier, and slower. At least it has four cupholders. :razz:

Hey General - I call first dibs on your low mileage Sport if you decide to sell. Looks like I'm going to need to stock up on the last of the real Miatas. :mrgreen:

Give it a chance. I think you'll be surprised. For anyone that has ever done any serious suspension tuning knows, stiff is not always better. The "Streets of Willow Springs" is not a fair comparison, and comparing an 06 GT to a 99 Sport is not apples to apples. Someone with an 06, please PM me, and we'll take it to the Ranch and see what it can really do.......
