MME @ Zoom-Zoom Live, Sunday, 10/2

OK, that other thread was getting cumbersome, so we're going to start a new one. As soon as I find out the "official" details of our iteinerary, I'll post them here in the first post. Feel free to continue discussion of the event here.

WHAT: Mazda's Zoom Zoom Live!

WHEN: Saturday & Sunday, October 1 & 2. Many of us are signed up at 11am on Sunday, 10/2.

WHERE: Lone Star Park, Grand Prarie. Watch this post for pre-event meet details.

HOW MUCH: Free. Zero. Nada. Zip. And unlike Monster Garage, when I say free, I really mean free. :razz:

WHY:: Umm... to drive the new Miata, Sparky. Besides, you got something better going on? :mrgreen:

SEMI-OFFICIAL MME ITINERARY: Meet at IHOP in Irving at 8:00am (that mean's you kids in Frisco/North Plano/McKinney/South Oklahoma have to get up early!)

Looks like the weather is going to be decent this weekend! :flower:

Depends on who's talking. The Channel 11 weather chick says as of right now 50% chance of rain this weekend. Could change thoogh as we get closer.

I'm signed up with the missus for Sun at 11am. May go solo though if she isn't up for it.

Anyone know if kids can come and will they have anything to do?

Anybody have driving directions or an address for Lone Star Park? I can't remember how to get there.

That is a good link to have... nice weather radar pics that you don't have to "sign up" for like you do on many TV station web sites...

Wrong. The address is 1000 Lone Star Parkway, Grand Prairie. That is just North of I-30 off Beltline on the East side.

Oh well... Last time I went there was for a work related function and I was in Tyler so I came up North from I-20 on Beltline... ;)

I'm thinking that the IHOP on Beltline and 183 in Irving might be best. It is easy to get to from most areas, and it is a 4.5 mile direct shot down Beltline to Loan Star. Thoughts?

Me and the wifey are signed up for 10AM on sunday. We'll probably just meet everybody there since we're coming from the south.

The Rude Dog is signed up for Saturday at 10 AM.

most people are signed up for sunday.

Im signed up for Saturday, but now at 2:00. Going to spend as much time as possible with my niece and nephews before I leave. :compress:
