I've got the SBC stuff installed and ready to go... however, my activation date isn't until the 10th!
What goes on between then and now? Line conditioning? What's that? Does anyone know if there's a way to expedite the process?? They've told me there's nothing they can do but wait... is that a line or does it really take that long?
I'm dying to be on the non-dial-up web!! ;)
You know when you walk over to the patch panel at work and patch in Sat5 to Studio 3 (I assume it applies in TV too)... They need to do that at the switching station.Quote:

I would recomend to just stay with it and keep calling them til they get it done,if you don't get satisfaction go over the customer service tech to a supervisor.

When I got my DSL for home from SBC I hooked it up and it was actually working prior to my activation date! YMMV

Shelby got DSL, and it was the same deal. I tried to install it everyday, but it wouldn't work. About 9am on the activation day I tried again, and walla!
Just a little bit closer... earlier I had two greens and a red light. Now I've got all three green... but still no go. Perhaps someone's taking their time with the routing. Darn it...::Chair::
sometimes it will come on a few days early.
Today I've got all greens but no love... double darn it.
