Disappearing Brake Fluid

The situation....

Since moving to San Antonio I've driven the Miata about 10-15 times around town and once to go back to Dallas, it's been resting in the garage for the most part for the last 5 months. About 2 weeks ago the brake light came on while driving. I stopped and checked the resivoir - it was about half full. I filled it and went on my way. Today I go to check it out, and it's back to half full. There's no evidence of anything leaking on the ground, or in the bay. I do have Goodrige SS lines, someone was telling me the fittings on the lines may have seized (?). WTF is going on here? Any help is appreciated.....

It may be the bleeders. They would only leak when you apply the brakes and are under pressure. Fill it up with brake fluid and pump the brakes in the garage. Check the bleeders/ground for signs of fluid then.

Go under the car and squeeze the boot for the slave cylinder. If you get liquid when you squeeze it, it's time for a new slave cylinder. About $45 IIRC, or you can buy a rebuild kit from Autozone for about $5. It doesn't last as long though.

Is mx52nr talking about the Slave Cylinder Reservoir or the Brake Reservoir?? :confused:
