It has a little rust in one rear quarter and a small dent in the front quarter, other then that a fairly clean 136K mile car. I bought it not running from a tech I used to work with at Sewell. He got stumped on an electrical issue (the AFM was fubar). Anyway it runs now. The car is stuck in reverse, after a bit of reading last night, there is an easy fix for this involving a stubby screwdriver and the reverse switch hole... I will try that tonight.
I am trying to decide on
1.) Greddy turbo
2.) 1.6L DIY turbo,
3.0 1.6L built motor + turbo
4.) 1.8L swap (I have a spare 99/00) or
5.) 1.8L swap and DIY turbo...
6.) 1.9L build, swap and DIY turbo
7.) Drive it for a while then sell it & get a nicer example
I have another set of 323gtx rods(m.net classified) and a set of JE 1.6L 8.5:1 forged pistons (ebay) that I bought cheap. I just hate to build a 1.6L forged motor when it would only be twice as much to build a 1.8L.... hehehehe $500for forged pistons is crazy.
