This is a follow-up. It turns out the turbos won't be sequential, which is the big news. Also, the power is down to 306 from the previously-quoted 330.Quote:

meh- i woulda figured itd have more power. its got a good deal more torque though 289 vs 230.
Well it's not the 1st time BMW has done a turbo.. it's just been quite awhile...
Early 80s they made a turbo 6cyl 7series...
The guy rebuilding my 7 was transplanting one of those motors into a 80s 6series car not that long ago... Sadly, I don't know a lot more details about 'em.
