$200,000 Solstice
::Whisp:: ::Blink::
BEREA, Ohio — Mallett Cars is putting the final touches on a burnt-orange Pontiac Solstice loaded with more than $200,000 in custom enhancements, including a new interior and brakes and unique wheels.
The one-of-a-kind Solstice, which started life as a $25,000 production model and includes a special orange leather interior, is bound for a July delivery to an unnamed customer, the company told Inside Line.
Tina Fisher, Mallett's general manager, also reports that the tuner has taken possession of its first two 2006 Saturn Skys and is in the process of beginning high-performance customizations on the vehicles. Fisher says the company will build 100 Skys, which carry a base price of $21,995 for the conversion package. When asked what price the Skys and Solstices top out at, Fisher replied, "It is limitless, when you begin to add special colors, new interiors, and other items."
"We're hoping our $200,000 Solstice will end up on lots of magazine covers," Fisher said.

Hot Rod magazine just started their 1 of 4 series on the their V8 (LS7)project. Doesn't look too bad. I tried to find a pic online, but was unsuccessful. Final article will out in July.
