Something Stupid Cars

There are just some cars you know you should stay away from, because if you get too close you might do something stupid -- like buy one!

I have a new "might do something stupid" car:

The BMW Z4 M Roadster. The regular Z4 is interesting but unappealing to me. This, well... the 330hp I6 from the M3 certainly does make things more interesting. Brakes off the M3 Competition package. Tosses the BS electric steering of the regular Z4. Loses the electronic aides... :drive:

$51,995 makes it easy to say no, though!

Yeah, that's about 20 grand beyond my absolute choke point. If the Miata were ever stolen, I could see falling for an S2K or maybe even something like a Mazdaspeed 6, but $52 large makes me feel :pale:

Then again, some people spend damn near that much on Yukons, and it's not clear they can afford those any more than I could afford that Bimmer... :scratch:

I guess it's all a matter of priorities.

The price will eventually come down. I never thought I would own a M3 but it was relatively affordable.

One more thing I like about the Z4 M roadster is that there's no "SMG" junk!

Good choice. I've been eyeing one of those for a while. mmmm... clownshoe. The guy who bought my M3 sedan had a M coupe before that.
