That was planning on converting his car to an electric drivetrain.
I suggested he never tell another Miata enthusiast about his plan to butcher & screw up a prefectly good Miata by adding ~1K lbs of batteries to a car with near perfect balance from the factory.
The writes guy software for Xbox 360's and actually has the cash to do it too...
