I saw the following classified add on Miata.net:

I am selling the front Caliper Brackets off of my 1.6L (90-93) NA6CE! They are in used but good condition. You only have to clean them up a bit if you prefer, but they will work fine as-is. This is a great " upgrade" for those of you with 1.8L (NA8 94-97) brakes wanting to lose every little bit of weight to make your car lighter for those autoX's, time attacks, gymkhana, or any other race situations. Get the set here for less than half the price of one caliper slide bracket (~$65 each).

You guys laugh - a lot of CSP cars are update/backdated to 1.6L brakes for less weight and better clearance for 13" wheels.
