Draggy A/C?

I've had several cars similar to the miata in size and hp and I've never had one that the a/c compressor was so obvious on. Every time the compressor disengages it feels like somebody hit the nitrous. Has anyone else experienced this? Is my compressor just really inefficient or are they all?

Basically, yes.

I solved this problem with a Turbo. :lol: However there is still no torque when starting off at a stop light.

Yep they are all that way. I used the A/C as traction control at a rainy autoX once they are so bad.
