That's dirt cheap. Between this and the $22,800 MS3, Mazda is becoming the performance value leader in the market. :thumleft:

"the MX-5 Power Retractable Hard Top begins as an upmarket Sport model with a six-speed manual or auto transmission and larger 17-inch wheels."
Now that is a deal. Add the suspension package and you're still under $25K. I wonder how much weight the RHT adds.
I think it said around 80lbs. The trunk/fender line had to be lifted to better fit the design.
Interesting... I suspect that the article is off on the claim of the 6 spd being standard, as Mazda has announced that that have swapped the Sport and Touring names for '07, and that the sport will now have the 5spd and the touring will have the 6spd (was opposite for 2006). If you look here, the transmission info seems to confirm 5spd and in addition, the sport is not available with the suspension package (Much like the NB sport=standard and HardS=Sport, Mazda has issues with naming).
What this all means is to get a limited slip, you will need to upgrade to touring, and then add the Suspension pack. The equivalent jump for an '06 (per Mazda's build a vehicle tool) is $500 for the model upgrade and $500 for the Suspension Package. So.... plan on spending a bare minimum of $25,350. ;)
Edit: Forgot Destination charge, tax, etc... better bring $28k with you to be safe.::Clown::
I like it, can I have a Yellow one please???
Wonder if a RHT will be the SE for '07??
Nope. ::Clown::Quote:
