I have a 1/2 ton pickup & a psycho killer cargo van, am planning on selling both & digging up a used 3/4 ton Dodge diesel to pull a boat project I hope to have up & running this winter...
Do you have a back up car/truck & what is it?

I only have the Miata but I want a cheap, reliable minivan to haul my RC planes around in.... maybe a turbo Caravan... with a boost controller... :D
See my sig.
How long has Mazda been making minivans? Maybe I can find a cheap one from them... better than most domestic crap.
The MPV has been around for a while, however the old and new are a lot different. The first generation car was sold from 1990-98. It was available in RWD and AWD and it had hinged doors instead of sliding doors. It was replaced with a more traditional FWD, sliding door minvan for gen2 in 2000. The wife had one... great car... Sharpie bought it from me for his wife.Quote:

I bought the Civic before I turboed the miata, because I knew there would be growing pains with turbo. I thought I would just sell, but it has been great! I've hauled a dishwasher, engine, and a large treadmill. The MPV is pimpin', Titus did it up right.
Hmm... let's see...
Newest first -
- 2006 Honda Element EX-P
- 1999 Volkswagen Passat GLX - "The Lead Sled"
- 1993 Honda Accord EX - "Car"
- 1991 Mazda MX-5 - "BUR" (currently in pieces... :( )
Hmm... I've got a '00 Honda Accord EX (also for sale!) and a '05 Honda CRV EX awd.
Graphite 2004 Acura TSX 6-speed. Lease ends in April 2008. Not sure what I will get as a replacement. Maybe a new TSX as long as Honda does not make it bigger, heavier, and a V-6, which is the trend. I love the 4 cylinder. I might also consider a BMW 1-series. I guess we'll see what's out then.
They're all in the sig... '97 Civic EX Coupe, '03 VW Jetta Wagon TDI
Not really sure which one is the 2nd car?? ::Clown::
'06 Toyota 4Runner - my everyday vehicle
'02 Miata - Wifes Car ::Curls::
'99 Miata - my autocross car
'67 Cadillac - just because I can (Family heirloom)
Second? car? Here's the fleet.
2002 Honda Odyssey
2000 Escort ZX2 S/R Yellow autocross car
2000 Escort ZX2 White Wife's work car
1994 Miata will be an autocross car
1963 Impala 2dr hardtop waiting for restoration
1948 Ferguson TE-20 (all the tractor I need)
If less that half the cars in your yard run......
an 04 Jamis Dakar.
My Converse are my 2nd mode of transportation :)
Similar story here, Adidas or Vans.

Very cool... Pops has one that he has been finishing the drivetrain on. The one thing that struck me was the massiveness of the car. Something is just wrong when a 2 door coupe is long enough to take up the entire length of the garage. :D With Dads, you need to get within 2 inches of the shelves on the back wall to give enough clearance for the garage door to close. :rolleyes:Quote:
