After tinkering with everything I could think of for several weeks, I said what the hell lets try 93 octane instead of the usual 87. No more idle problem and I picked up around 4 mpg city driving! What the hell is the purpose of adding ethanol to the gasoline? It sure isn't making my car run better and doesn't seem to have lowered the price of fuel either, although the recent drop in price has been quite nice!
I understand this extreame heat is hell on a motor's performance but I've never had to run higher octane fuel because of it. So unless there is some mysterious problem with my car that I am unaware of this ethanol mix crap is on my ::Censor:: list!
