The winners from a contest hosted by The Car Connection.
Some are pretty clever. I like the MG story best.

You're right... the MG story is great.
I liked "I married him!".
Dang! I wish I knew about that contest earlier. My best was doing around 90 in a 55 and talking my way out of it. ::Angel::
I got out of being arrested once... 127 in a 75. He wrote the ticket for 99mph. Whew...
Close but no cigar! I decided to top out my 92 on I-20 one day on my way to UTA and eventually noticed a tiny blue & red dot at the top the the hill waaay behind me in the mirror!::Bust1:: I think I hit 130 down one of the little hills! I pull over and put the hazards on and wait for him to catch up. Mr. Dallas Sheriff walks up and says,"God damn, I had to do 140 to catch up to ya!" I thought I was going to jail for sure after that!:punchout: He ask for my license and then ask if I was on my way to class (backpack in passenger seat) and if I was late. I said yes and no, I'm not late. He gave my license back and said, "You know you can't drive that fast; Slow down."
WTH?! Out of all the times I've been pulled over and actually been innoccent, the cop doesn't even run my license or check for insurance when I get caught red handed hauling ass! :burnrubr: Guess it was my lucky day!
Damn! You got VERY lucky...
When Robin & I were dating I lived in Durant, OK and she in Paris, TX. We were heading back from Durant to Paris down TX78 and I was doing about 90 in a 55.
As we were going through the hilly section I saw a set of headlights waaaaay back in the mirror. After going over a few hills I noticed they were getting a little closer. I slowed down to 55 and told Robin "I think there's a cop way back there." After another mile or two he caught up to us - unmarked Sheriff car with lights in the grille. I told Robin "don't say anything, let me talk"
He jumped out of his car & ran to ours. I already had my license and insurance out and the window rolled down. He yelled at me "Do you have ANY idea how fast you were going?" I looked at him and said "No officer, I don't. I was driving down the road and we were fighting and I wasn't paying any attention. I guess we just need to go get an ice cream and sit and talk."
He gave me this WTF look and paused for a moment. Then he yelled at me "Well, I had to do over NINETY FIVE to catch you... AND IT TOOK AWHILE! Get out of here and DON'T let me catch you speeding on MY ROAD AGAIN!" He didn't even look at my license or insurance.
Robin looked at me in disbelief as we pulled away. She said "Did you just get out of that ticket????" Yup. We weren't fighting, we were joking around... and I knew exactly how fast I was going.
Oh - we did stop & have ice cream just in case the Sheriff checked.

Have you had a chance to run the ROVAL at TMS? Coming out of the infield to NASCAR 3, then running the oval the whole way to the turn one chicane give lots of time to go pretty fast. I had Keith give me a couple of good bumps and we were flying..too fast for me to look at the speedo :)
