With all the talk about overheating problems with a miata and how hot it gets under the hood.
Would a real hood scoop help at all ? Seems if you could get more air into and around the engine that would help the radiator heating problem to some extent
Just wondering as I still have heating issues sometimes without the A/C on
And I have done and tried every suggestion I could find on here
So a hood scoop was a thought
OK now all of you can start pointing and laughing and call me a ninny
A scoop that puts air into the engine bay could actually cause more problems, as it would increase pressure behind the radiator and reduce air-flow through it. What will work is an extractor hood that pulls air out of the engine bay, forcing more air through the radiator to replace it.

My heating problem turned out to be a bad fan motor. I have not had a problem since.
Those air extractors might be pretty cool, though. (Pardon the pun.)
