Black Roadsters' Mini Overhaulin'

I know this is blasphemy to some of you but I want to reduce road noise and increase SPL a bit. Besides, this car sees more daily driver use than track use so I want to make it more comfortable.
I'm only adding about 40 lbs in total for the trunk, floorboard and doors. Heck, I think I remove 10lbs of dirt  and the PO had glued the grey carpet over the OEM black so I was carrying two layers of carpet.
The difference is a nice thud as opposed to a ring when tapping on the door sheet metal. My new Boston Accoustics should sound nice in there.

No, I ordered it online. It's Second Skin Audio Damplifier. I made my decission based on this web site. The review seems pretty darn thorough. I'm pleased so far with the application of it and it definitely makes the doors more solid. I can't wait to get it out on the road. I should have extra if you're interested in buying it.
More Pics Here.
Sound and heat insulation complete. Carpet is in. Stereo cabling is done.
Tomorrow the dash, install door speakers, seal up doors and fit door panels. I hope to finish tomorrow but if not, Friday.

I've seen that website, and the Second Skin looks great. I would be interested in the leftover - PM me with details.
Lots of progress - I look forward to (not) hearing the results...

I should be at the Wednesday GTG next week. Let me see if I need to add any more of the Damplifier to noisy areas then I'll let you know.

Great pics,
I used Herculiner for my carpet, trunk, underside of hood, fender wells, rockers, and black sections for front and rear bumpers and still only gained under 10 pounds. Used 2 gallons and applied by brush using a stippling method. All seams
have been welded and sealed w/ sealer. However, I used your very product for my 61' Chevy P-UP and like both. Noise level for the Miata wasn't the issue, but the cowl shake and most rattles and squeaks are gone.
Plus, you can top coat w/ any spray paint you want, and leave the rest of poundage of interior pieces off the car.
