While I was walking around the back streets of Messina, Sicily I happened across this cool car. I guess this is a European only Civic. Pretty cool!
I figured b/c everybody here seems to own a Honduh now, somebody would have some specs on this car. ;)

Type R?
Looks like it's a European specific 5 door Civic.
Looks nicer than the crappy US version, Honda may not let us have the nice ones for fear of them getting totaled in the parking lot of your local Old Navy parking lot. ::Clown::

Looks like a Type R similar to the one from the Paris Auto Show. But no Type R tags. Also Rs usually come in yellow, black, and white.
The one you saw comes with 2.2 L diesel that gets up to 55 MPG.
Nice, they even come with HID auto leveling headlights. But it does have VSA and DBW.
Cool they brought back the panoramic glass roof as an option. You can also get a rear view camera.
Cool. We need more diesels in the US.
Cool! I like the wrap-around lights on both ends. I will buy one if they bring it to US w 3 doors. A R would be icing on the cake.
