anyone know how to safely remove the airbag out of a 3 spoke m2.5 steering wheel?
I'm sure d/c the battery, but then what? do I need to d/c any electrical connections like on a M1?

While I'm sure based on you asking this question, that you're aware of the safety issue here...
Remember that the airbag module has it's own battery and can still discharge even though you've disconnected the car's main battery.
