Funny Video of guys trying to use the Lexus Self-parking
Dang it looks so easy! ::Rant::
Nothing like watchin' a bunch of whiny asses try to park a car...
To me the funniest part was the guy in the back bitchin about the radio
Yea they seemed a little ::Daisy:: / ::Fruity:: .
I suspect an insurance company will be going after Lexus the first time a proximity sensor malfunctions and it backs into another car.
You still got your trike??

Interesting . . . very interesting
but stoopid!
Too many people don't know how to drive. I don't think this will make them any better.
Lexus definitely wasted their time whether or not the guys in the video were doing it right or wrong.
Ain't that the truth... :(
Right or wrong, how many Lexus buyin' idiots are going to bother reading the manual to learn how to operate this thing 'right'??Quote:

My wife tells a story from when she lived out in LA. She and a co-worker went to lunch with a client. When they were leaving, the driver put it in reverse and shifted in his seat and looked out the back window to back up. The client asked him what he was doing. He replied that he was turning around so he could see where he was going. Her reply was to roll her eyes and say, "Pft! They only do that in movies!"
Explains a lot, doesn't it?
That video was hilarious. I'm suprised BMW didn't come up with this first and incorporate it into I-Drive.
Kind of reminds me of when I first drove a car with a backup camera. It is a co-worker's Lexus RX 330 and she hates to drive, so she has everyone else drive it to lunch. Anyway, I put it in reverse and everyone acts as if I should only use the little display on the screen to back up. I'm thinking, how am I supposed to see if someone else is driving down the aisle with only a camera showing what is directly behind me?!?! I think I glanced at the screen once and then just backed up normally by looking over my shoulders. Not sure I buy into all this 'technology'.
Geez, first automatic transmissions and now this. ;)
That camera is just to see if a kid is behind you. People are misusing them.
I got a free upgrade from Hertz yesterday in San Jose - Lincoln Navigator. It took me a minute to figure out that the beeping noise inside the dang thing was a backup radar letting me know how close I was getting to obstacles behind it. The closer I got the faster it beeped.
