Miata Track Day Event at MSR

Need your opinion, we are considering having a major Miata track day at MSR, (don't ask a lot of questions right now please) but the date would be on Saturday June 16 which is Fathers's Day weekend. Do you think people would have a problem coming from out of town if it is Father's day weekend? Locally I don't see it as much of an issue since we would be available on Sunday for the family.

For certain fathers, a track event might actually enhance Father's day weekend. (Sharpie and his dad come to mind.)

I'd be in. I would think having it on Father's Day might even make it easier for some of the Fathers to get out.

Well, I was thinking that since it is Father's Day that I should be able to do what I want that day, no what I mean Vern?

Sounds like fun and with this much notice I can probalby manage to get that weekend off.

I'm interested, but the SCCA has been famous lately for scheduling an auto-x on Father's Day. The new schedule isn't up yet, so I don't know about next year. That being said, if the price was right, I would drive in from Lubbock for this one.
