I just bought some Toyo TR1's not long ago...woke up with a flat....nail in the tire.
My question is, do you guys think its safe enough to Autocross with the repair?
The hole was in the center of the tread, and was plugged.

What kind of plug?
The do-it-yourself kits from Autozone will get you where you need to go, but I wouldn't autocross on them. The kind where they dismount the tire and plug and patch it from the inside work very well (in my opinion).
SCCA SSS Peter Fehn carries a do-it-yourself kit in his truck.
I have used patches many times on AX tires. No worries.
Wouldn't you actually need to Autocross to have this as a concern??? ;)
I've autocrossed on numerous plugs and I've never had a problem. I'm not going to say it's the right thing to do. YMMV.
Professionally installed plugs are usually okay for autocrossing. I wouldn't use a plugged tire at a track day, though.
Kewl!
It was a dismount and repair job.
I do plan on doing some Autocross again in 07 POS....lol
