You mean "setting up AN open port"?
Besides... if it's on a LAN all ports are open. Are you referring to opening up a port on a firewall device to allow traffic to come in from the intardweb?
If that's what you are referring to then you need to set up a static IP address on your PC on the inside so it doesn't change perodically via DHCP... then tell the firewall that port 80 on the outside gets forwarded to that PC's IP address on port 80...
If your ISP filters out incoming port 80 then you can tell the firewall that port 8080 (or just pick a port) will be translated to your PC's IP address, port 80.

I'm setting up a cam so that we can monitor the cats while we are away. It's working currently with the wireless network and I can see it inside my network. The issue is getting it outside of the firewall...
The head :cat: wants to see what his little buddies are up to while he is away:D
