Overheating Part Drei
As some of you well know by now, I was having some overheating issues. Well today, thanks to POS and the rest of the gang, we took care of the problem... well maybe.
We replaced the thermostat and gasket, and radiator cap. On the way back home, I gave it some good runs. I hit 183 and speed with the AC on and no issues... after some dinner, I hit the a popular north dallas toll road and hit between 90 and 105 with just a little bit of rise in temp. It did not pass the 12 o'clock position.
So for now, I consider it a mild success. Perhaps on a hotter day I'll see what happens.

just a thought, but have you put gas in it since you have had these problems? we had the spec cars overheating due to bad gas, they were detonating like crazy too, as soon as good gas was put in, they ran cool and alot better, ambient air temps were around 70, just a though.

It's almost always full of the good Chevron stuff... unless I'm about to auto-x.

Boy that would be nice if it fixed your problem. I know that a sticky thermostat can wreak havoc... keep us informed....

Good deal Bean! Hope it's cured permanently!

Well, Bean, did it overheat anymore? Inquiring minds want to know.
