FedEx Part-Time Employment

A few folks at Wednesday night GTG's have asked about getting some hours at FedEx.

I thought I'd post the info here for anyone interested.

Part Time Handlers and Couriers
Starting wage: $11.18-$13.99/hr

Minimum Qualifications

18 year of age (21 for Courier positions)High School Diploma / GED
Ability to lift 75lbs.
Courier applicants must meet additional requirements.

If you can get on as Permanent Part-Time it also provides excellent benefits. This is easy to do as a Courier but seems harder as a handler. At my station in Plano, they tend to hire on handlers as Casuals which doesn't include benefits but other stations may be different.

I've been with FedEx for 2+ years and it has worked out really well for me. Not too many places offer so much to part-time employees. The insurance especially kicks ass!
