Kumho V700s are a lot cheaper than some of the alternatives (Michelin Pilot Sport Cups, Yoko Advan A048, etc). Any problem with taking the TCB route and getting the Kumhos?

If you want to go the TCB route, don't get hooked on R-comps. They're like crack!
What do you want to use these tires for? TCB for autocross would probably be Victoracers and for track I'd go for the Toyo RA-1 or the new Nitto NT-01.
If you just want autocross tires, you might as well get some V710s. If you want something to pull double duty for autocross and a track day or two, then the Victoracers aren't bad. RA-1s are better track tires, but won't really get up to operating temp at a typical SCCA or ER autocross.
I used Victoracers for a couple of seasons back when they were all Kumho had to offer. They were good for their time, but V710s are light years faster and you'll get almost as many runs out of them.
