That is pretty much what I did. After I cut the hole in the lense I use a grinder to rough up the front of the lense at the edge of the hole. Then I used fiberglass cloth and resin to make a funnel inside. I have not finished these yet but they are looking pretty good. Also the way he wired the new bulb it will only work as a marker or a turn signal. If you connect one of the leads from the new bulb to the green wire and the other to the red wire the new bulb will work as both turn signal and marker light.
