They are just stating that this is the last of the good evo's and that the EVO 9's are about to stop production.
Never once do they mention that the Evo X will be the last Evo. They're simply bemoaning the fact that the Evo IX is the last "real" Evo... in their opinion.

the Evo IX is the last real evo, the EVO x+ will be watered down not so much from factory street racer versions (or so they're saying) but who knows till there on the street. but as it seem they have given up on the STI vs EVO war but at lest there leaving off with the 07 EVO IX MR
