So i have some "Summer Ultra Hight Performance" tires on my car and was wondering. If I'm running summer tires and have only driven on them in cold weather under 80* outside, what kind of addition in grip would i be looking at when it heats up outside or at the track after a few laps of them getting warm?

Holy crap, I actually understand that, jeff_man, are you sick? ;) I would assume that there would be more grip in warmer temps, but only to an extent. In warm weather it wont take as long to over heat the tires, causing them to lose grip.
Also, are they original to car when you purchased it? Tires have a drop time whether they are rarely used or not and it doesn't care about heat at that point. When they are at their optimum temp they are their best, that temp will vary as tire degrades molecularly.
the came on the car in nov. and the tread looks new as if it just lost all the nubs the day before
With summer tires, you aren't going to notice a huge difference in grip between 60 degrees and 95 degrees, but you'll definitely notice a difference in grip between 60 degrees and 35 degrees... :wink:
