does anyone on the board have one?
a friend in FL is thinking about building one, and he is looking for people who have built them to talk to
wants to know if their expectations were met, degree of difficulty, completeness of kit, etc

I don't know of anyone locally who owns one, but from what I've read about them, they aren't too difficult. Wiring and installing the new crossmember seem to be the issues. When the added weight of a V8 is only 200 lbs., I have been seriously contemplating building on myself. They do sell the kits which make it easier, but I don't feel comfortable with the welding of the new x-member w/ my wire welder. Check out Monster Miata, (I believe that's where I saw the article) Great progress photos and explanations of the processes for the DIY.
Seems like Gary (trackdog) mentioned that some guy in his neighborhood has one...
There is a guy on this board who has one. Danny you out there.
He listed it for sale awhile back. He didn't build though, he bought it built. IIRC he supercharged it.
Here's a link to the tv show covering a build.

I think Danny sold it though.
That thing was a real monster... a supercharged 5.0 Ford Mustang motor.
There is another "Monster Motorsports" Miata in town. It's black. I meet the owner at the Unique Performance open house. I told him about MME but once he found out most of us had 4 bangers he didn't seem too interested.
Look on the big board. They have a whole section just for V-8 swaps.
Blair Allen in the Oklahoma Region SCCA has a '94 with a 302 Ford. He autocrosses it in E Mod. at almost every OKC event. I don't know if he built the car.
Yep, the 302 was the one I read the article on. Now if I can just get my 283 w/ 202 Mickey Mouse heads to fit, I would make all the High School boys cry.
No, Danny's Monster is still for sale.
