I bought an 03 Toyota Corolla at the auction. The body is clean, but the white paint is sunfaded and dull. I waxed it with Meguires Cleaner Wax, but it didn't help much. Now it's clean and a little less dull. Any suggestions?
Also it was a smokers car. I am going to steam the seats and carpet, but would like to know if anyone has a trick to get the smoke smell out.
I have always been happy with Meguires Body Scrub on faded Miata paint.
Sprinkle some baking soda on the seats and carpet, let it set for a few hours and vacuum. Fresh air and sunshine will work wonders too.Quote:

A little Arm & Hammer sprinkled on the dry carpet helps, too. The best way to remove the smoke from the car is to use an ozone generator. These are used at dealerships and are the most effective method.
Fabreze and dryer sheet under the seats right now!
