That's further into the backcountry from 22 Mile Glacier. Looks as though it was spring from the snow pack. I am not a snow boarder, but I have Alpined and Telemarked skiied for 32 years. I love the stuff. Worked on the Ski Patrol for Copper Mountain and Guide for Cooper Snow cat tours. Couldn't ski chutes that exposed in Colorado due to the snow pack. Too Dangerous. Colorado has the most unstable snowpack in the nation.
