so i hate ppl, not really. details inside.

I forgot to inform you all of the occurrence which happened on Friday. I deliver pizza so on the job, I pull to park in front of a customers house and i see a truck in the driveway. I park the car in front of the house and bam I am hit by the truck. If he would of just backed out straight he would of been fine and barely missed me. He of course was mad at me and said why did you park like that etc and i replied "where am i supposed to park?" He didn't look his your mirrors when he backed up and hit me. simple. So i get his insurance information and his name. He says "deliver your pizza" in a harsh tone and leaves. Maybe he was jealous of the car because i do get a lot of comments on how nice that car is and how can i afford it etc or maybe he was just a jack donkey. :rolleyes: I proceed to call his insurance agent, he directs me to another number which i call and have to report everything. Lovely just lovely.

I was supposed to get a call about the car today for a claims adjuster to look at it but no word. Any idea on how long i should wait before calling back?

O i forgot to mention the damage of the bumper, just a gouge in the middle of the bumper. There would be pictures however my friend dropped the camera on the lenses the other day when he took pictures of my niece. :(

Wow that sucks. I hate when people blame others for things that they screwed up. Good luck with the insurance company.

Sorry to hear about that. Just keep hounding his insurance company b/c they will probably just keep dragging their feet.

Call the insurance company at least once a day. Get the name and the direct line of the claims adjuster, and call him directly. If you haven't heard back from him in 48 hours, find out who his/her supervisor is and contact them. If necessary, keep working your way up the chain of command until you get some results.

I'd also recommend keeping a log or "diary" of all of your calls and conversations with the insurance company. Hopefully you won't need it, but it will be priceless if you do. You don't have to be rude, but be firm and persistent. I learned this the hard way.

Write down the phone #, date, time called, who you talked to, what was talked about, and when you hung up.

This is priceless for sure and will help you if they start changing things they said on the phone.

Call your Insurance Agent. They'll hound them for you since they don't want to pay from your Uninsured Motorist Policy.
