+1 on just getting a RX8 front bar. It's cheap and easy!

...but jrj512 needs to remember that the majority of Miata drivers out there could care less about SCCA stock class autocrossing. Non-stock class mods won't affect your classing with BMWCCA, S2K and PCA locally. Some people just want to have fun with their cars and that's understandable.

Unless you're really serious about being competitive, just mod the car the way you want to drive it on the street. That's why I went ahead and did springs on the MX-5.

thats why i do it anyhow, fun.

i am thinking the mazda speed bar though to keep it warranty safe.

i want to drive it first without it too, just to have a baseline.

I've had the Mazdaspeed (Eibach ProKit) springs and Koni Sport "yellow" shocks since it was brand new. The springs lower it 1.5" and the shocks lower it another .5" so overall it's about 2" lower than stock.

Yes, I've had to do a pretty extensive fender roll - especially in the back. But adding more negative camber helped a lot. The tires stick out slightly when sitting or running straight, and tuck in JUST under the fenders on compression.
