Me too....
Oh wait, that was 32 years ago. I guess Allen has grown up since then.

I grew up in East Dallas too (M- Streets). One evening we (my siblings and neighborhood friends) were all outside and a car came through the neighborhood and stopped and stole one of the many bikes laying around...funny thing is that this was a POS tricycle that didn't have a seat...we all ended up laughing about it.
I went from East Dallas to Allen also when I was in highschool. I hated it. But I'm still there...go figure.
Nails is good about letting neighbors know when their garages are open...if nobody answers the door he'll close it for them. I told him he aught to consider that somebody might consider his actions suspicious and call the police. So I think he stopped doing it...he'll still go over and let them know but he no longer takes it upon himself to close it for them.
I woke up one morning to find my front door open...I would rather have been awoken by the police than an opportunistic intruder...I believe the wind had blown it open - I had issues with my door back then that have since been corrected with an extra deadbolt :)
My perspective is of a single mother that doesn't own any weapons - while some police officers have attitudes that have soured over time, I still see them as an ally.
