I was handling it well until it was obvious what we had to do. My son is actually doing well but may be putting on the brave teenager front. Katie is oblivious, thank goodness and Trina is taking it the hardest.

Bummer. XM_Rocks said it best, this is the worst part of pet ownership. You are doing the right thing, try to remember that.
