Serving on a jury was an eye opening experience for myself. I love doing my civic duty as well.
Last year I served on a jury on an Aggravated Robbery case. It lasted 4 days... including the full day of deliberation.
We handed down a very stiff sentence.
After the verdict was read and the judge met with us to reveal a case that was left out of the punishment phase.
Come to find out the guy has yet to stand trial for a Capital Murder case for murdering a 65+ year old woman for her purse.
It made me sick.
