By the way, if he's withdrawing the funds from an account, just have him bring cash. There have been lots of fake cashier's checks around. I had a friend that sold his son's motorcycle on a cashier's check. The check was bad and the buyers were long gone. No reason not to use cash. Besides, you get to feel baller for a day carrying a big wad from the sale to your bank. :-)
^^ This. If the loan is cleared to his account, there's no real reason to not just give you cash. If it would put you more at ease to have actual cash in hand, he should have no problems with doing just that if he's legit.
EDIT: Unless you're like me and blow through cash in a few minutes. If I have any amount of cash in my pocket for more than 10 minutes, it must be a late Sunday night...I have absolutely no willpower when it comes to not spending cash-cash. So then cash would be a bad idea.
Thanks guys. I'm fine with a cashiers check and will have my bank give me the OK that it's legitimate before signing the title over. That's part of the reason that he's meeting me at my bank.
Price is about the same in the used market for 135 and 335 with similar mileage and options actually. The only reason I thought about the 1 is that it might be a little more nimble and fun to drive plus you don't see them every 5 minutes like you do with the 3 series. The backseat room on the 1 is siginificantly less than the 3 though. The 335 coupe is surprisingly roomy in the back (about a foot of room between my knees and the seat back). Looks like I'll be going 335 coupe.Quote:

As for the CTS-V, not really interested in the old one. Like the new one but mega $$$. I thought about one of the big hp sedans like the E39 M5, E55 AMG but too much gas, too much maintenance, don't need that much space.
You can get a bill of sale, have it notarized, baptized, and sterilized but here's what one nice lady at the Tax Assessor's office told me "We don't recognize any bill of sale".
Yes, but the tax office is the buyer's problem, not the seller's. The BOS provides a legal document to show that you sold the vehicle in good faith and are no longer the legal owner. Also, it defines any conditions of the sale, or lack thereof.Quote:
