Any hints on when we might see the redesigned V710s on the market?
Nitrogen fill, eh? That's going to make adjusting pressures trackside a little difficult... :?

He said they were seeing 16 - 20 psi jump from cold to hot in the 710s. The heat is what causes the delamination. And evidently, the 710 retains more heat.
Obviously the next test has to be successful for the tires to re-introduced. I asked when he thought the 16 inch 710's would be ready, he said mid summer.
Well kids just in time for Christmas, I just got my replacement tires from Kumho today.
For those of you at home, this is my 5th set of tires this year- 3 Kumho, 2 Hoosier. That is for a single driver car.
These are shaved Ecsta V700 K8A compound.
Cool! Just in time so you can kick my a$$ at the ER double header this weekend!
Well at least in the cooler temperatures they won't be as likely to delaminate from overheating! :mrgreen:Quote:

Dang! Now I am reminded why I have enjoyed STS so much the past 3 years. Six tires in a season of 24 plus autoxes beat the hell out of 3 or 4 sets of R tires per season. Been there from past stock class experiences, and have had as many as 6 complete sets in a season when sharing a ride for the entire season...
I may make one of the days this weekend.
We are having some work done on the house so it depends on that.
I still have Hoosiers mounted so one day at Mineral Wells can wear those out.
Since these are the K8As, I think they will last longer.
