Gonna be a great day for mirror-cross tomorrow!
Fun event today, from the feedback I got everyone enjoyed it. As with many new things tabulating the scoring and pax payout was, shall we say like herding cats (something Jerrett is familiar with). Mark Wortham and/or Kenny Baker (I think) is going to manually tabulate the results and once posted we will send out checks for the pax winners. We will either pay via US mail or Paypal. Very sorry about the delay but the Supreme Commander said he'll wash everyone's car that finished ahead of him to make it up to you.
BTW, please PM me with your paypal address or physical address if you are a pax winner. We will be paying the top 20
Results are combined and are getting a second review before posting.
I thought the event was fun and reminded me of a ProSolo. It has been a few years since ER has done this
mirror format. Next time it should work just fine.
Thanks to Wortham for obtaining and building the new cables all night before the event. He also repaired one of the displays.
He worked at the event all day without driving and was one of the last to leave. All on 2 hours of sleep. Thanks Mark!
I Saw SUPERMAN, today an the ER Autocross in Mineral Wells. Managed to get this candid photo!

He's the one on the left!
Thanks for making the event happen today!
Anyone get video from the event? I'm curious how it all looked.
I'll post some videos tonight.
+1000 on the effort Mark W put in. He was busy all week working with me to get the display, cable stands and new cables complete, then worked hi sbutt off in the timing trailer.
John W and Kenny B also went above-and-beyond in their effort, from early set-up to late pack-up, they were there for everything.
Great event Andy!(other than awards :) )
Thanks guys. Sorry about the delay in producing results. Thanks Kenny for working so hard on those and for all your hard work. Also a special thanks to John W. for taking care of the wire stands for me. It was a team effort. It seems like our effort paid off. Heard nothing but good feedback in the timing trailer, at least up until the glitch with results at the end. Thanks everyone for coming out!
Yup it was an awesome event, had a ton of fun with that drag start
Recognition should also go to Andy Cost. It takes some guts to take-on the challenge of a Mirror-cross event when nobody has done one in DFW for several years. Double the equipment, double the trailer workers, very little left-over for backup parts, creating fair, matching courses, and hoping that enough people attend to cover all those duplicate work assignments. Its a big task. Let the ER board know if you would like to see more mirror-cross events!
I always love the pro events. Thanks for putting this on guys. And thank you for busting your butt's to make it all happen. Can't believe Mark got me in pax though. He needs a pax modifier LOL
So much fun! Glad the extra runs were added to the afternoon. My best times on both left and right.

They used the normal pax.
The pro-pax (http://home.comcast.net/~paxrtp/pro2013.html) would have helped STC and hurt SS and ASP. Here is a chart comparing the two. I threw it together quickly (~10 min) so I apologize if there are any errors.

The unsung hero of the event was Steve E. If he hadn't had a USB to Comm adaptor then we would have been screwed. There were none to be found in Mineral Wells shopping district. I spoke to Vitek and it is quite easy to combine the two sides into one event. After his simple instructions I should have no problem next time. Speaking of next time, it would be great to do this annually. We need about 10 more entries to make it really work well. Greg Piper was the event master and course designer. I think he did a wonderful job with the limitations I put on him for having only two corner stations per side. With 10 more people we could have three corner stations per side and make courses in the 35-45 second range. Next time rag on your dead beat friends that skipped this one and shame them into attending so that we can have a 45 second per side course.
