Any reason the 93 Toyota MR2 is running in a Class 2 all of his own ... not that I mind ... it's about the only way I'll ever win one of these things!
He is not all alone, unless he is in 2R, which is R-comp tires and a separate classing. People can upclass all they want for whatever reason they like, but you can't down-class. Maybe they want to run against faster cars, maybe they have a turbo or SC, rotary swap, etc that bumps them. Maybe they just can't read. Doesn't matter and can be changed on-site.
^It's just the way DLB Racing randomly breaks up the same class on the entry list screen. Class 2 = Class 2 = Class 2. ;)
http://www.dfwmiata.com/customavatars/avatar1117_28.gif takes care of all the down-classing everywhere he goes ::Banana::
Man, I haven't seen a Chicago Box since the Pre-Piper days ::OldMan::
You kids get off my lawn
Geez ... Tough Crowd ... I promise I am in the proper class ... 2.0L x 1.5 for Turbo ... regular crappy street tires ... tend to get lost on my first few runs!
@MarkSipe - NTAXS has added an X class, which is basically unlimited on street tires. It was designed as a place for the SCCA srsbzns folks to play with each other, if you wanna join the fun. :)
I have already been given the registrations to import into the laptop, so PM me if anyone wants to change their class and I will do it in the laptop.
Tentative Run/Work Order:
Work 1&3, Run 2&4 - 1, 3, X
Work 2&4, Run 1&3 - 1R, 2, XR, S2000
Lucky me...my detached apartment garage won't open!
Edit: detached (not attached. That would be a much easier problem)
Fun day and a fun course. The cones on corner 5 took some abuse today :-)
I agree that the course was a lot of fun. Thanks and congrats to Chris and the setup crew.
I really enjoyed swapping cars with McShane for a couple runs, since I've never driven a Miata before. I enjoyed the car, but I don't think I could make it do what he does. I'm really, really glad we did it in the morning, so I wouldn't have to lose to him in my own car! :)
Good course, typical fun day of low traction, smooth surface and a good time had by all at a NATXS event. Nice course Chris and as always a very well run event.
