Two things Blaze:
Since you are brand new to autocross, take a look at the two sources mentioned in this thread. Read those "articles" so you'll have an idea what to bring and what to do. Don't worry too much about all the details -- we'll be out there, and we are very happy to help new folks! :thumleft:
- Equipe Rapide has blue painters tape (and duct tape, and masking tape -- but I wouldn't suggest using either of those!) in the trailer, and we'll let you use some for your numbers/letters. Don't buy a roll just for the event... use ER's the first time, see if you like autocross, and if you do, go get some real magnetic numbers/letters.
- There are work assignments that don't require running around -- grid and clean-up leap to mind. The problem you'll have is getting one of those assignments. My suggestion would be to get to the event early and get to the front of the line (like Altiain does)... that way, you'll have a better chance of being able to pick grid. You might have to work 3rd heat (which isn't too bad) or 2nd heat (which is worse because you race 1st heat, work 2nd heat, race 3rd heat), but that will be better than being assigned a corner and potentially having to run/trot/amble.
