Well,
IIRC, the NA's used an 80 and the NB's use a 100amp...
At least my 90 & my 92s have used the 80 and my 03 has a 100amp fuse in there.
If the only thing that seems to work is the headlights then you probably have blown that 80amp fuse.
If the starter won't turn over then check that 80 amp fuse and check the ST SIGN FUSE - a 10 amp fuse in the fuse block under the hood. It's what protects the wiring in case of a short in the starter motor's relay circuit.
But... I would start out checking it in this order:
Main Fuse, ST SIGN fuse, all the fuses ;), ignition switch, ground wires under the hood, battery connections, starter.... and from there it depends...
That's as good as I can get it for you based on your posts (which like the others said are hard to follow)...
If you can get the starter to turn over then you can look in the oil filler hole and check to see if the CAMs are turning. If they aren't then you broke your timing belt.
If you didn't overheat the car and if you didn't lose oil pressure & lock the motor then my money is on an electrical problem. Since you weren't there when the car failed it is really hard to tell how long she drove it under those conditions...
Hell, you could've overheated the car and not known it if you lost your coolant. I'm not 100% sure how the temp would register on the Miata if you lost coolant. On an old Cherokee I had I lost the coolant and it registered cold since there wasn't any coolant around the sensor anymore! Luckily I saw the big cloud of steam behind me. :D I'm not sure if the Miata would register that way or not... I'm sure the others here will chime in on that point.
