***POSTPONED*** North Texas S2000 Event #1 - Mineral Wells, xx/xx/xx

This weekend looks like it's going to suck nuts, weather-wise. Go figure, after the mild weather we've had all through December and January that winter would show up for the first event of the season. :?

According to The Weather Channel there is only a 30% chance of rain. I guess we can only wait and pray.

Yep. That is what the National Weather Service is saying.

Saturday: A chance of rain, freezing rain, or sleet. Cloudy, with a high near 42. Northeast wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

I've been at Mineral Wells in February for an AX that should have been cancelled. It was the '69 Nationals. 342 MPH winds. Softball sized hail. 9 dead. Majik forgot his jacket. It was ugly.

Saturday: A chance of rain or freezing rain before 10am, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a high around 32. Northeast wind between 10 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

The club said they would make the call by noon today (Thursday).

It's official... it's been postponed until March 18th...

Due to an increase in the prediction for freezing rain and ice for the weekend of February 18th the Director's have postponed Autocross #1. The next available date at Mineral Wells is March 18th. So, mark you calendars and we'll post up new reistration info for #1 again in a week or two. Sure hope we can have all those S2000's sign up again.
