As far as pool tables go, expect to pay around $300-$400 for someone who knows what they're doing to dis-assemble, move and re-assemble a table for you. If you buy new it's all usually included in the price (as is all the accessories).
Congrats on the house BTW!
Nice Place, congrats!!
Thanks guys.
Thanks for the table link, 3Bean. I'm going to call around tomorrow, but I'm concerned about fiinding a company that will move a 1-piece slate table, especially to an upstairs gameroom. When my parents left their place in Hurst, they left their table behind, because most companies wouldn't touch a 1-piece table.
If you find yourself considering a new table and want one of the big names (Brunswick or Olhausen), You will end up at one of the Billiards & Barstools stores. I am not sure about Olhausen, but I do know they were the only Brunswick dealer in the area when I got my table. You should be aware that the salesman are authorized to negotiate. I got my Brunswick Bradford from them and got them to give it to me for around $300 lower than the sale price that had ended a week earlier, for a total of about $600 off the from the price on the tag. It took a day, calling them on the phone asking them if they had had a chance to reconsidered my offer (the price I paid, plus free delivery/installation), and by the 3rd call, he offered it at the price but said I had to pay for the install. I took it.
Woohoo! Went through the addendum process this past week. There were a few incredibly minor things we wanted fixed on the new house before we moved in. Seller agreed to do about half of them... and offered us the pool table and all of the accessories instead of doing the rest of them (items which will collectively take me a weekend afternoon to do myself) since they are on a tight deadline to relocate out of town!
So it turns out I'm going to get the pool table with the house after all!
Whaddadeal! Congrats!
Rack em up!
Sweet! Did I mention that your house is on the way between our house and the barn? Congrats upon congrats!Quote:

I rode by your new neighborhood weekend before last... Looks real purty. You're probably safe from me & the pool table, since my next door neighbor has a table and hasn't been able to drag me up in 2 years... OTOH... I don't like my next door neighbor.Quote:

We close on the new house on the 27th of July, and we close on the house in NRH on the 31st. We've decided to hire a moving company to do the bulk of the move, but I might shout out for a little help to move some of the stuff we dont want packed in the moving truck, like electronics.
If for some reason it should be raining that day, I have a 5 x 8' fully enclosed trailer that can be used to put things in.
