I was older than most of you when I bought my first Miata (49) in 1989. Chronological age doesn't mean much if you can somehow manage to stay healthy. :geek: (I always wanted hair!)

:roll: It may well have been a two digit serial number (we didn't care about such things back then). You can check the white "hulk" behind MiataTechnologies if you want.

My wife loves to talk and I give her MANY reasons.

Next year, I'll learn how to read. I thought the "49" was the serial number on your car, since I know that's not how old you were in '89.

:scratch: Well I was 48 in 1989 also, but I was 49 when I bought the Miata. It has something to do with when birthdays fall I guess.
