I forgot to add... here's his work, but you don't get a very good idea of it since the pic is so small.

Before (if you look closely at the molded line, you see overspray):

It was next to impossible to determine where the old paint stopped (at the doors) and the new started after he was done.

Go for it, I'm in no rush.

I bought mine with a big dent in it :( Will need that fixed and something done to daughter's car as well as a color match for the hardtop I scrounged up. Unless someone wants to buy it from me first. It's black & near mint.

It turns out that Frisco Paint & Body and Ed's Body shop do not accept total vehicle paint jobs. I got a quote from Frisco to repaint my hardtop for $450.

Does anybody have a silver hardtop thay would want to swap with a red one?

When did they change that?

They both said they do collision damage repair primarily and are not really into total vehicle paint jobs. Maybe they've just gotten busier.

I got my beater painted at Maaco, and even by beater standards, it was bad. It almost seems to me that one would have to TRY to get that much orange peel in a paint job.

Expect to pay at least $1,500 for a good paint job.
