Well???
Not a lot to say about this one. We came, it rained, and we raced. Nice to see Ted the Red back in action and meet Mrs. Cone-cerned. Not sure how Ted the Red, Cone-cerned, and Machismo talked thier wives in attending this race.
Lost216 1st, GerryT 2nd and yours truly 3rd in ES. GerryT 1st and Lost216 2nd in Rapide PAX. They changed to V710, I didn't.
Mrs. cone-cerned wanted to come to this event, I didn't have to talk her into it.
I think she likes to check up on me occasionally.
... and don't forget to as POS Racing about his tire choice.
BTW, Ken showed up in a Boxster loaner car and still took first in Tire. It was just myself, Darron65, and Ken in Tire.
Congrats to Gerry T and lost216 for their top PAX finishes. Congrats to Jeremy for sneaking into the win after I coned away my fastest regular run. I had to settle for 7th in the PAX, but since Jeremy and I ran in 1st heat in the real rain (instead of the drying 2nd heat) on street tires, I don't think we did so bad.
Lesson of the day? Kumho SPT street tires rock. Over 1.1 Lateral Gs in the rain and standing water. Heck, we saw plenty of peaks over 1.05 Gs even with the stability control on.
2nd lesson of the day? Whatever no-name street tires Jon bought, stay away from them. He was over 2 seconds back from us today, even though he ran in much better conditions in 2nd heat. In fact, I think Jon got straight-timed by just about everyone today.
We had a great time... I got new wheels and my wife said she had a great time.... She has even said that I can get some good racing tires..... It might be a while before we can actually pay them off but never the less she said I could get some!!!!!!!
Well there is a return policy with a 30% restocking fee... ;)
I just reviewed some of the MAX Q Data runs as well. I was seeing steady state cornering in the low .90 G's. Peaks as high as 1.1 and even 1.25 in a few spots. For those of you wondering. You need to get some SPT's for rain tires. Pronto.

Thanks to SpinOutF500 for the audit and points work.
Once again nearly a second faster on the PAX runs. ::Rant::
Thanks for a well-run event. Don't know how you guys do it.
Man, Lost216 is really flyin' these days! I think he needs to show his stuff in Houston. Pretty sure he could bring home a trophy. (Note to self: Ask Lorin what meds he's on these days.);)
