So what is on the R&R list so far?
ill be there with moosemonkey...
Is it too ambitious to think I could put new sway bars on at this tech day? In addition to doing the shifter boots?
I don't see any problem with replacing your sway bars. Make sure you spray the end links and attachments with WD40 or Liquid Wrench the night before for an easier removal.
yeah ...that works better:D
Here are my plans for the day! Replace my frozen caliper, front and rear home depot lip, rear mud flaps, Crank angle sensor Oring, and if i can get a fender roller put the suspension on, but that would be last if i had time... Sound good?
You have an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of it all?:D
PB blaster is a pentrating lubricant. Should be able to find it at most autoparts stores.
Then afterwards you are supposed to take them off with a wrench. We will just watch....::Yikes:: 9 am
I'm not sure I want to watch anybody take a wrench to their nuts... ow. :nutkick:
I picked up some brats to put on the grill with the burgers for lunch. If you want to come out and need the directions just pm me.
Found out how Tim got the food he served us while changing his brakes. Hmmmm, thought I smelled something funny. Explains were the BRATS came from.

Apparently he ran over something on the way home this morning.
Not a bad days work. 5 brakes, 2 sway bars, shift boots and a 1.6 CAS in just a few hours. Nice cool and breezy. Good brats and charred cow. All in all a very good day.

What a lovely shot of me, you could have at least warned me to pull up my pants ;)
Sorry wasn't looking at your ass when I took that pic.
My thanks to HH for the brake work and instructions on how to do it properly. Also want to give Jeff props for running into town to pick up some needed supplies. It was nice to have everyone over and glad you enjoyed lunch. Sorry about the rancid armadillo smell coming off the mufler...
I'll sponsor another tech day sometime this summer for those who need a place to work or just want to be a part of the NMC crowd:D
Armadillo burgers, FTW!
Random thought: BR, now you need smoked side marker lights to go with the smoked turn signals... ;)
Do they make smoked ones or are you just gonna use spray tint or film?
I just looked at the smoked ones and they look pretty cool.
will say thanks for the invite although I had another party to go too grandaughter ,I would like to have been there and picked up some tips and tricks
Hopefully will make the next one you have :drive:
Tim, I owe you an apology, I sat there in the car and thought 'I need to get out and clean up the oil and gear oil that dripped onto Tim's nice floor' then I promptly started the engine and drove home. Remembered the oil about 1/2 of the way back to Frisco.
I owe you a beverage the next time you come to Keller's.
Sorry
It was no problem at all. That's why I had the floor coated but I'll never say no to a free beer::Banana::
The shift boots, I can feel immediately, everything is smoother and cooler. If the overflow fluid ever burns off of the transmission I'll be a bit happier.
Someone's going to have to teach me how to drive this dang car for me to feel much out of the sway bars. So far I don't even know what I'm supposed to be looking for or if I'm driving hard enough to bring them into play.

The second-last line in post 75 is such an obvious set up to a joke that it smells like a trap.
